Adding recent, positive, active and available credit to your profile is a MAJOR action step you will need to take in order to achieve and maximize your credit score potential if you do not have and or very little open and active accounts. If you have no or very little open accounts rebuilding credit history is a necessary action step you will need to take. It's quite EASY. We will show you how.
- What is the First Step in this Process?
It all starts with a credit review, which you can get by visiting our Contact Us page or calling us Toll-Free at 1-877-567-4529. We’re different from our competition in that every one of our clients receives individual attention from our staff. We formulate a customized plan of action based on your specific needs. - How do you restore bad credit?
Once we’ve received your credit reports, we will analyze your credit history to identify inaccurate items that are responsible for bringing your credit score down. Then we will draft special custom letters to dispute these erroneous, outdated, inaccurate, incomplete or unverifiable data on your behalf. Although we encourage consumers to dispute their own credit if they have the time and knowledge to do so, It is important to note that, according to federal law, the credit bureaus can ignore your dispute under a variety of conditions and even responding to you that your credit dispute if "Frivolous"!. In our experience, a large part of dispute letters sent directly from consumers are rejected for one reason or another. Credit Smart Repair's custom dispute letters are expertly designed such that credit bureaus will accept the dispute and conduct an investigation and get passed their super computer and we will keep the investigations and re-investigations going. We also dispute directly with the Collections agencies and Original creditors when necessary as part of the process. A disputed credit listing data must be verified as 100% accurate for it to remain on the credit report. If the credit listing contains an error, the credit bureau may simply correct or delete the item. Unfortunately, very often disputed credit items cannot be verified because either the creditor no longer possesses the necessary information, or that creditor will not go to the effort of verifying it even if they have the information in question. Furthermore, the investigation must be completed within 30 days or the listing MUST be removed. For these reasons, properly disputed credit listings are removed from your credit report with remarkable frequency and as result your credit will improve in most cases almost instantly.
At the conclusion of the credit bureau’s investigation, a new copy of the updated credit report is sent to you along with any deletions, updates, corrections and improvements. You then provide us with a copy of the new updated credit report(s) and the cycle repeats itself at strategic intervals.
Each time an investigation is initiated, the odds of receiving a particular deletion increases but we are aggressive and persistent to get you positive results we are looking for.
- How long does it take?
Everyone wants you to see results immediately. Although everyone’s credit history is different, most people will see progress within the first 30 to 45 days of their enrollment and deployment of credit disputes. The majority of time is spent waiting for the credit bureaus to respond to requests. We take great effort in getting our disputes to the bureaus as fast as possible. As a reference, the average person with 7-10 erroneous, Inaccurate, Incomplete or Unverifiable items on each credit report should be prepared for a minimum 6 month commitment. Keep in mind that if you have 10 items we are challenging and they are reported to all 3 credit credit reporting agencies: then you really have 30 items we are having to work on not just 10! Some clients are with us for 8-12 months in severe cases. 10 Items we consider severe. Our credit consultants can advise and consult you on this matter during your zero cost private credit review.

- How do I get my credit score?
Often receiving an accurate credit score will create a HARD credit inquiry in some cases (not all) possibly lowering or effecting your credit score. However, we have suggested websites where you can easily obtain your scores, or if we feel that enough improvement has occurred on your reports we will suggest to your loan broker to have a new credit report pulled to see if you are financeable or we can run a follow up report. You get 1 FREE Follow up credit report as part of our program. We recommend waiting to use this complimentary report after being 6 months in to our program to allow us enough time to impact your overall credit report and scores. You can also go to www.myfico.com and get your credit FICO scores on a monthly basis with NO HARD inquiry but it is subscription based and the cost for this will be billed monthly by www.myfico.com (their pricing can be found on their website) We are NOT affiliates of this company BUT they do provide the correct scores most lenders use so that is why we recommend them. They are the ones that gather all your personal credit history and come up with your FICO scores. It's up to you of you want to monitor your credit and FICO scores each and every month. We think pulling it every 6 months is just a good.
- What is my credit score based on?
Credit scoring is based on many factors that may include:
- Amount of available credit

Under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, credit scoring may not use gender, martial status, national origin, race, or religion as factors.
- I have received a one-page letter from each bureau asking for additional information. What do I do?
The credit reporting agencies have numerous DELAY and STALL tactics to slow the process down, and anything from discouraging documents to asking for a variety of information. We automatically handle all these issues, so there is NO need for you to do anything until you receive your actually credit reports. Either way ALL documents per our agreement must be SENT back to us so our professionals can respond and follow up on your case and those documents. NEVER complete any forms that are mailed to you. This will be used against you in most cases and you could harm your efforts to fix the issues being reported on your credit reports.
- How long will this process take?
You have to remember this is a process NOT an event. Credit reports are like fingerprints, everyone is different. Your assigned credit expert will be able to give you the best idea depending on the many factors involved and what is currently being reported on your credit reports. But again you will see results of the investigations in 30 to 45 days of enrolling into our program.

- What should I pay off?
Credit reports can be very difficult to read and even more difficult to navigate properly. - What if I am currently using another company but see no results and want to use your now?
Please be sure to CANCEL your subscription with the other company and notify them that you are unsatisfied and you would like to cease any further services on your credit. This is very important and counter intuitive because the processing we do on your case may be jeopardized if two companies are working on your credit at the same time. Even if you have used another company we can still help you get the results you desire in most cases. Especially because we use MANY MORE dispute methods then most any other company in our industry. Over 20 years of experience will be working for you.
- Will the accounts you have deleted reappear?
This is highly unlikely. The Fair Credit Reporting Act and FACTA (Fair And Accurate Credit Transaction Act) make the re-insertion of deleted account more difficult for the credit bureaus to do this. In the extremely rare case it does happen, our company will re challenge the item and force them to remove it. If they Ever did by LAW they would have to notify you in writing 5 days before they do. The credit bureaus are known to 99% of the time NEVER do this and that means they are violating the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) and will need to remove it again since they can be sued for the violation.

A credit score is a numerical ranking system that lenders use to determine how much of a credit risk you are. A credit score is a numeric indication of how likely you are to repay debts such as loans or lines of credit. Lenders use this number to determine how much of a credit risk you are. Credit scores also are designed to indicate your creditworthiness in comparison with other consumers.
Credit scores are based on the data in your credit report and are generated by computers using artificial intelligence "algorithms". Usually a credit score is between the numbers 300 to 850. The higher your score, the more “creditworthy” you are to lenders. Unfortunately credit scores are not used for determining risk factors for insurance, employment and may even determine if you get a job promotion or not. It's that important!!
